The you knit a lot of socks you end up with a lot of small amounts of sock yarn in your stash. These scrunchies are a great way to use it up.
Inspired by the Emily Ocker Cast on, as described in Elizabeth Zimmermans books. I played around with a variation of the cast on, over an elastic band.
As a lazy knitter, I’m not a fan of counting stitches, so this pattern requires none! Make it up as you go along.
Firstly, fill the elastic band with the cast on stitches.
Next, knit a few rounds,
Increase a round,
Knit a few more rounds.
Finally finish with a purl round, a knit round and cast off in Purl.
Easy Peasy, lemon squeeze.
