As human beings we are hard wired to remember the negative experiences in life. To balance our tendency to negative thoughts I’ve learned the importance of magnifying the happy memories.

I started scrapbooking and keeping a journal over a year ago. Though it seems like a mundane way to spend my time, scrapbooking has had a positive effect on my mental health.
Scrapbooking is creative and therapeutic. I take photos of the good times in our lives. When focusing on the happy times as I scrapbook I amplify the happy memories building up a happy memory bank. Reinforcing the good memories and outweighing the negative memories.

Taking the time to reflect on my positive memories, writing down sentiments, and creating a keepsake all help me to stay mindful and grateful.
When facing challenging life events, it can be difficult to stay positive. Scrapbooking and looking through my albums reminds me I do have a lot to be grateful for.

Creating a scrapbook and journaling is another way I can take control of my mental health issues.
I’m now stocking Uniquely Creative Card making and scrapbooking supplies. And I am a Creative Memories Consultant purchase direct via my website or pop in store to place an order. I also have a small collection in store for purchase.
