Another pattern and tutorial today. A small project for that lone ball of 8ply.
You may need to play with the number of chains to get a version that fits you. My head isn’t small, at times I’ve been called ‘big headed’!

Kitty works at Zest Cafe and kindly let me talk her into modelling, as she delivered my coffee.
The pattern
Yarn: 50gms of 8ply. Choose wool as it breathes and will keep its shape. I used Totem by Patons, which I do sell.
Hooks: 6mm and 4mm
Ch 66 with 6mm hook
Change to 4mm hook
Foundation– In back bumps of chain sk1 ch, htr in each ch to end. (65sts) turn
Row 1 1ch, htr in the back and 3rd loop of htr, in each st across. 65sts
Repeat row 1 until work measures 10cm.
Make up: fold short ends, so long ends meet. With out twisting, insert both short ends inside each other, making a sandwich of end1, end2, end1 and end2. Whip stitch with yarn through all four layers. Finish ends securely and turn headband to right side. (Watch video if you need)

I had some fun last night making a little pattern zine. Instructions for making a zine are HERE
