Entangled

Entangled

As I wove this piece it morphed from the original idea to something of its own, my idea was a goddess figure instead she changed as she came into being.

Entangled in the web of her life.

She became a mortal woman, trapped in the web of her own making.

Trapped

All of us are constrained by the life we have built. Bound by invisible threads to our children, partners, families and community.

These threads can be secure and wanted, tethering us to survive the wildest storms. These threads can also be our cage, trapping us, enabling us to only see a small part of the world. Stopping us from seeking more.

What might be?

I often feel like this woman. Loving my silken web of security at times. At other times I feel trapped and caught by a web of my own making. Unable to break free to seek more.
