With the weather warming up, I’ve spent my time, between serving customers, weaving outside the shop. Chatting to passers by. A much nicer way to spend my day than standing behind a counter or working on social media.
I’m very much enjoying no longer having social media. It’s made a huge difference. I no longer ‘need’ to check my phone frequently. Hours go by before I pick up the phone these days.
Life feels simpler, less hectic and less stressful. I’m not seeing any fall in the turnover either. My visitors have been very supportive of my decision.

Saturday afternoon was spent in the studio making felted hats. I chose a witches hat for Halloween and Deb, Eloise and Rosie went for a simpler option.
My hat was made in Ashford’s white Corriedale sliver and dyed prior to blocking.

We had so much fun this afternoon, Deb and I decided to do it again tomorrow! Deb wants a witches hat after seeing mine.
What’s on next week in the studio??
Next Saturday is a weaving day! Bring your own loom or borrow one of mine. Bookings are essential via email only tracy@knitspinweave.com.au there is space for 6 only.
love your hat I should try I suppose but sometimes you need other people around, one day we keep saying here in victoria.
