I’m having a little break from the social media circus. Emotions are more contagious than the virus and there are a lot of very stressed people on the social media channels right now. All with opinions they are expressing. Everyone has the right to express their opinion but we also have the right not to listen. I find reading all the anger and fear out there has me feeling anxious.
While I’m having a break, I’m making an effort to update the website. WordPress will automatically share through to my Facebook page. I won’t be reading any comments on the Facebook page. Email is my preferred contact. Keeps all the information I need in one place. I was getting very confused about where I receive a message from. Was it via google, Facebook pms, Facebook comments, instagram comments, Instagram messages, messenger, sms or in my emails!?! I was spending a frustrating amount of time searching all of the aforementioned to find the message I needed to reply to. It was overwhelming. As much as social media allows us to connect, it also overwhelms and steals time , creativity and passes on emotions and feeling I am absorbing, that I don’t need.
You are very welcome to pop into the shop or studio to say hello and find out what’s going on. I have added a new classes page to the website, listing up coming classes. If they don’t suit pop into the shop and see if we can find a time that works for us both.
Advanced notice that the shop will be closed for the first week of the school holidays. Monday 28 of September to Friday 2nd of October. I’m going to spend some time with the kids. I will be back for the second week. Would anyone like some school holiday activities in the studio? If there’s interest I will plan a class.
